Meeting people in real life is harder than it should be. And finding a dedicated space to hear and discuss genuinely interesting ideas — over a drink, with good company — is harder than it should be too. So I decided to do something about it. The Ideas Open Mic is London’s think and drink night — a recurring evening of handpicked talks in bars where brilliant people share the ideas that excite them most. Think TED talk meets pub night. Storytellers, academics, entrepreneurs and curious minds take to the stage for 15-20 minutes each. Every speaker is reviewed and selected based on quality, variety and fit — so the evening is always worth your time. Going it alone doesn't mean doing it alone. Whether you're building a startup, freelancing, running a side hustle, starting a charity, or just doing something ambitious outside of conventional employment, this group is for you. Being an entrepreneur or freelancer can be a lonely experience. You've got big decisions to make, have to keep the confidence of your clients and investors, and sometimes pretend everything is okay on LinkedIn when you're stressed out of your mind. This is a space where you don't have to do that. The Founders & Freelancers Meetup is a monthly Meetup in London for people who are building something. It can be at any stage and in any sector. We're not just here to swap business cards. We're here to build useful relationships, honestly share our experiences, and support each other through the the ups-and-downs of working independently. My own background includes co-founding PopUp Painting and The London Art Bar, and more recently building Gareth Lewis Marketing & Events. I know firsthand how this kind of work can feel equally exhilarating but also isolating. Come as you are. Bring your wins, your questions, and your screw-ups. All welcome.

Breathe, Run, Connect is a free community wellness run club hosted by Optimum Retreats founders, Mike & Brit designed to help you reset, move, and connect. Each session begins with a guided 10–15 minute breathwork practice to regulate the nervous system and energise the body, followed by an easy-paced 5K social run/jog suitable for all levels. We finish with a short cool down and optional coffee + connection afterwards. A community for anyone who loves to dance - whether you’re a professional, a hobby dancer, just starting out, or someone who dances around the house and in the shower! 🕺💃 Most importantly this is a space to meet people, network and feel less alone as a dancer in London. Expect socials, dance games, creative activities, workshops, events and opportunities to dance together. We’ll have dance classes for all levels - from beginner-friendly sessions to classes for experienced dancers who want to train, explore and challenge themselves. Different dance styles are welcome, and there’s no expectation to be a professional.
