London Essay Club is a space to think, write, and be read. We meet to read and discuss essays, then sit down to write our own. Some people come with ideas they’ve been carrying for weeks. Others arrive with nothing and discover something on the page. Both are welcome here. You can write for your Substack, your journal, or just for yourself. There’s no pressure to publish, no expectation to perform. The goal is simple: to practice paying attention, and to turn that attention into words. We’re a friendly group of curious people who care about ideas, sentences, and the strange process of trying to say something true. If you’ve ever wanted to write more, think more clearly, or just spend time with people who take writing seriously (but not themselves), you’ll feel at home here. Come join us. Bring a notebook, or don’t. We’ll figure it out together.

Glitter Gel Pen Book Club is a Sydney-based book club and social club for women in their 20s and 30s. We host intentional gatherings across Sydney’s most sought-after wine bars, restaurants, and creative spaces, providing an excuse for like-minded women to slow down and connect offline. Our events span book clubs, private screenings, listening parties, and social catch-ups for those looking for more considered ways to connect with like-minded women. At our core is a simple belief: content doesn’t need to be heavy or highbrow to be meaningful. We embrace the feminine and the so-called “frivolous”, championing feel-good fiction and lighter forms of leisure, because life is serious enough. We’re here to romanticise it. GGP was established in August 2025, and have only just joined Cliq, so thank you for finding us!
