I AM A TEACHER AND I AM BORED. Sound familiar? Yes, teachers are VERY lucky to have the time off we do. But when your friends are working, can’t get annual leave or refuse to pay school-holiday prices, having all that time off isn’t always as exciting as it sounds. That’s where Travelling Teachers comes in. A growing community for young female teachers who want MORE from their time off. More people to meet. More days out. More weekends away. More travelling. More walks, picnics and spontaneous plans. Basically, finding other teachers who have the same time off and also want to actually do something with it. Because teachers spend enough time stuck behind laptops, making resources that probably already exist and trying to reinvent the wheel. Close the laptop. The laminating can wait. Go and actually enjoy those holidays.
