Rotten Fig Press

Fremantle

Rotten Fig Press was born from a desire to cultivate a space where emerging and established artists can feel seen, heard, and encouraged. We are particularly drawn to work that is honest, experimental, and emotionally resonant-writing that lingers, unsettles, or sparks connection. At its core, this press is about community. Creating a space where writers and artists are not left to rot, but encouraged to bloom, fruit and feast. In extending this branch, we invite others to share in the processto grow, to question, to create, and to embrace both the fruitful and the rotten.

Ruck City

London

London’s first urban load-carrying club! ⛰️ Looking for a new and truly unique way to explore your city and connect with others? Look no further. We meet for a weekly walk (“Ruck”) around the city. The best part is, you get to choose your own load. You carry as much or as little as you are comfortable with. It could be a full rucksack with the proverbial sink or just a couple of water bottles. The important thing is to turn up and get involved! We want to introduce Londoners and city dwellers far and wide to moving their bodies in a fun, novel and challenging way. We also want to give them the chance to share their load, whatever it is you may be carrying. This community will be about support in all its forms. Can’t wait to see you at the start line! Sapphic Serve

London

Sapphic Serve is a London-based queer women’s padel community built for connection, movement and fun on court. We bring together lesbian, bi, queer and questioning women and allies for relaxed, social padel sessions that are beginner-friendly and focused on enjoyment over competition. Whether you’ve never picked up a racket or already play regularly, everyone is welcome. Sessions are structured around easy rotations, light coaching where needed, and plenty of time to meet people between games. The aim is simple: create a friendly, inclusive space where queer women can stay active and build community through sport. Off the court, we often head for drinks or food nearby, making it just as much a social club as a sports one. No pressure, no judgement, just good energy, new connections and a lot of laughs.

The Modern Kitty Party

Crawley

Hi! We’re Nidhi and Reema and we came up with the idea of “The Modern Kitty Party”. A women’s social club rooted in the warmth, fun and sense of community that traditional kitty parties have always brought, reimagined for women in the UK. The idea came from our time spent in India, seeing first-hand how kitty parties bring women together through conversation, laughter, shared experiences and community. We loved how they created space for women to step away from the routine of daily life, make friends, learn from each other and simply have fun. We wanted to bring that same spirit to the UK, but with a more modern twist. The Modern Kitty Party is for women aged 21+ who want to meet new people, try new things and be part of a welcoming, South Asian-rooted community. We’re starting in Crawley, with plans to expand into London over time. Expect a mix of social, creative and growth-focused events, from dinners, storytelling nights and photoshoot evenings to candle making, painting, investment talks, beauty sessions and more. Some events will be relaxed and social, others will be more hands-on or workshop-led, but the aim is always the same: connection, fun and a space where everyone feels welcome. Membership is free and events will be pay as you go. Events will usually take place on the last Friday of each month, although dates may vary depending on the venue, activity or season. Event costs are separate and will vary depending on the experience. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, get out of your routine, try something different or find a community that feels warm, modern and intentional, you’re in the right place. We’re so glad you’re here.
